Private is a pop music trio that weaves classic pop melody with modern dance beats. Private was formed in 2006 by Danish producer/singer Thomas Troelsen, along with guitarist Asger Tarpgaard and vocalist Tanja Simonsen. Sonically, PRIVATE's music is filled with infectious pop hooks and rhythms. Their debut album “My Secret Lover” was produced and recorded by Troelsen in Copenhagen and New York, and mixed in London by Jason Boshoff (Basement Jaxx, David Gray). The first single, of the same title, has gone Gold in Denmark and reached #1 on the Danish singles, radio and download charts. Subsequently, the group has received attention from a number of influential blogs including Perezhilton.com and the UK's Popjustice, who called the single "completely hypnotic and brilliant."
