Princess Hermine von Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym

Princess Hermine von Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym (2 December 1797 Hoym, Germany - 14 September 1817 Budapest, Hungary)

Princess Hermine was the second wife of Archduke Joseph, Palatine of Hungary (1776-1847). They were married 30 August 1815 in Germany. The princess being just 17 years old when she married the 39 year old Archduke. Archduke Joseph had no male heirs, his first wife having died in childbirth, and the child, a girl, having died shortly after birth.

Princess Hermine died in childbirth, at the age of 19 , after birthing twins. Both of her children died unmarried and without issue.
