PrimeTel[1] is a private Cypriot telecommunications carrier. Through their partnership with EAC, they have built their own fiber-optic network and ADSL2+ platform.[2] PrimeTel has entered Cypriot retail market in 2006 with a triple-play Internet, IPTV and Telephony offering under PrimeHome brand.[3]
In April 2008 PrimeTel announced that it is building a submarine fiber cable landing station in Geroskipou and that Reliance Globalcom will terminate its multi-terabit system into it[4]. This makes PrimeTel the first private operator with such facilities, which traditionally have been a monopoly of CYTA[5].
