Preslava (Cyrillic: Пρеслава), born June 26, 1984 in Dobrich, Bulgaria, is a singer of pop-folk or chalga.

Preslava, a famous Bulgarian singer, is classified as a Chalga singer or in Yugoslavia Turbo Folk. Chalga translates to "playing" or "music". Her real name is Petja Koleva Ivanova. The "slava," which deals with piety towards the Orthodox religion is a widely used addition to the names. She was born on June 26th 1984 in Dobrich, Bulgaria. She is a singer who started in 2004 with her first hit, "Njamash Syrce" or "You Don't Have a Heart". Her hit song is the Bulgarian version of the acclaimed Yugoslavian version by Marta Savic, "Ravno Do Kosovo." Preslava is signed to Payner Music, which is one of the biggest record companies in Bulgaria. Payner Music is in close ties with the famous Yugoslavian record label, Grand Production. Payner has a contract with Grand where they are permitted to use Grand's music.
As a young singer, Preslava has had many hits. Such hits include: 'Mili Moj', 'Zavinagi Tvoja', 'Obicam Te', 'Mrazja Te','Finalni Dumi', 'Djavolsko Zhelanie', 'Lyzha E', 'I Kogato Sumne' and 'Myzh Na Horizonta.' She is one of the most famous singers in Bulgaria, and due to her eccentric style of music, she is often favored by many.
She is proud of her Balkan heritage and has sung a song about this. It is titled "Ljubov Balkanska" which means "Balkan Love" and features Ork. Akademci. She is very knowledgeable as can be told by her vast knowledge of different languages.[citation needed] She is fluent in Bulgarian, Turkish, Gypsy,Yugoslavian and Albanian people.[clarify]
She just came off a tour with Yugoslavian "Zvezdata" (Star), Neda Ukraden from Yugoslavians Grand Production. This was an anticipated tour seeing that its the first time a Yugoslavian Singer went on tour with a Bulgarian Singer. Her favorite singers include both Ceca and Lepa Brena as well as many others.
