[edit] Career
She received her B.A. in 1977 from Yale University and M.F.A. in 1980 from the Yale School of Drama. She first became known for her role as Ellyn Warren on thirtysomething, earning a best supporting actress nomination at the 1988 Emmy Awards. She wrote the screenplay, produced, and starred in the movie The Tic Code, which is about Tourette syndrome—a condition her husband, Michael Wolff has. Wolff contributed the music score in the film.
Draper also directed, wrote, created, and executive produced The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie and The Naked Brothers Band (TV series), part documentary, part rockumentary, and part mockumentary musical comedy, about her sons, Nat and Alex Wolff's real-life band they formed in pre-school. She does not appear in the film or the TV series; the characters' mother is mentioned as deceased.
[edit] Personal life
In 1989, she appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show, where she met jazz pianist and composer Michael Wolff where he served as the band-leader. They married, and have two children—Nat and Alex.
Draper was born to Phyllis, a Peace Corps administrator, and William Henry Draper III, venture capitalist and civic leader of the United Nations Development Programme.[1] Her brother is venture capitalist Tim Draper[2] and her niece is actress Jesse Draper.[3]
