I always knew Pocomoke was almost 50/50 in race of black and white ! As a Pocomoke High Alum it was easy to walk through the halls and not see color. P-city was generally a very harmonious enviroment and although I complain of the lack of opportunity in the town, I am glad to be from an area with pretty good race relations.

This page needs some attention, although the history appears sourced it should not be signed and needs to be more streamlined as to me it currently seems to contain much "waffle". I am unsure whether to attach the expert attention tag or not someone with greater knowledge of the area should perhaps make this decision.Bass fishing physicist 12:46, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

The long-winded history section is either original research or a direct copy of copyrighted material. In either case, it's completely unreferenced. I googled various sentences and couldn't find any websites that it would have been copied from. The entire edit was made by an unregistered user with IP: 216.231.141.4
It all sounds like it's good, accurate info, but who knows? Does anyone think that 216.231.141.4's edits should be reverted?

They look like they were done by someone who researched the subject and contain a brief list of references. But they are by someone unused to Wikipedia processes. Suggest they are kept and the authorship removed to this page ( follows). Lumos3 08:53, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

it appears you're right, divisions of municipalities are indeed for states to define. here's a Census.gov page with multiple documents listed: http://www.census.gov/geo/www/garm.html. the entry under Chapter 9: Places seems to spell it out especially. - Metanoid (talk, email) 04:00, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sweet. Yet another case where the Census Bureau classification does not accord with local statutes. This looks to be similar to the situation with California, where municipalities can style themselves as either cities or towns, but that styling is without any express distinction under state laws. See Article 23A Section 10 of the Maryland Code [1] older ≠ wiser 12:12, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

- Because no source has ever been provided that this is a town, I have reverted to the only sourced version: note that the Census Bureau did not collect data for a town under this name. Nyttend (talk) 06:30, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
