Shouldn't there be a discussion about the show's importance in society, as well as the media? For example, the introduction of some of the show's catchphrases used in everyday speech, or how Peter Kay, Dave Spikey, Paddy McGuinness became famous as a result of the show's popularity. Also, there should be a discussion on the programmes portrayal of Bolton and the surrounding area e.g the Chorley references. 82.31.33.178 15:21, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes, Channel 4 themselves refer to it as plain "Phoenix Nights"^[1]. The DVDs and scripts have "Peter Kay's..." all over them purely for promotional purposes, in the same way that "Stephen King's..." appears on many films adapted from King's novels. It doesn't make it part of the title. I vote that the article title should be changed to plain "Phoenix Nights". Mrstonky (talk) 01:49, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
