Nearly a B-- needs more citations.

[edit] Best known...?
Is Davison really best known in the UK for the Doctor? I am in the US, but I had the impression that Doctor Who was just one of several things he was probably known for. That is, it was an important role, but not necessarily his most important. Gwimpey 00:51, Jan 30, 2005 (UTC)
- In the UK, he's forever associated with the role of the Doctor, as well as that of Tristan Farnon. In his latest series, "Distant Shores", where he plays a plastic surgeon, the promos for the programme played on his Doctor Who connection. Nearly every interview with him mentions Doctor Who. The programme is pretty much burned into British popular culture. --khaosworks 01:05, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Children
A recent edit says that in addition to Georgia Moffett, "Peter Davison has three children two children with his present wife, Elizabeth Morton." Which is it, three or two? —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 15:57, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] King Street Junior
This article says he left after two series while Karl Howman says one. So which is it? Davhorn 21:55, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Picture
I stole the image from elsewhere on wikipedia. I believe it's from "The King's Demons", but I don't want to attribute it as such until I'm positive, or at least someone else can take the blame. El Zoof 00:21, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- When I looked at the article today, it had no image. Figuring any picture is better than none, I linked to the image used in Fifth Doctor. If anyone wants to substitute another image, feel free to do so. Pat Berry 20:30, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Right now the picture is from "Time Crash." I don't think it's fair to the Fifth Doctor to have to share his picture with another Doctor. Number Ten has his own page with two full body shots to be happy with. -- A concerned Wikian —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.255.201.226 (talk) 00:41, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, more than that, this isn't Fifth Doctor, this is Peter Davison. It seems kind of strange to have the one picture be him as essentially a cameo.--Human.v2.0 (talk) 00:43, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] His recent interview praising of all people: a Dictator
WHICH RULER/MONARCH DO YOU MOST ADMIRE OR HAVE MOST IN COMMON WITH?
"I have a sneaking suspicion that in 50 years time we'll discover that Castro isn't half as bad as we think he is. He outlived his enemies, he's managed to take Cuba back from America's playground, and hold them off for all those years. We hear lots of terrible stories about him, but most end up being nonsense. I have also come to admire President Clinton. He was a pretty bright man." —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.19.19.212 (talk) 14:56, 18 February 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Speculation
I've removed reports on speculation based apparently on a first-person interview with Sylvester McCoy and a news report in The Sun. Let's wait for reliable sources. We're not a fan site or a gossip site. --Tony Sidaway 11:18, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- Tony, I agree that the New Zealand/ Sylvester McCoy rumour is well beneath the standards of a reliable source, but I think there's an argument to be made for mentioning the Sun report, as long as we word the mention carefully. Obviously, we shouldn't say "Peter Davison will be returning to Doctor Who in a 2007 special for Comic Relief" and credit it to the Sun as if it were a reliable source. However, the fact that the Sun reported this is itself notable, as an indication that in 2007 Davison is still associated with a role he left in 1984. I know that there's a similar discussion going on at Talk:List of Doctor Who serials, and I tend to agree that the reporting is itself notable. The story isn't "Davison returns to Doctor Who"; it's "The Sun reports that Davison will return to Who."
- I'll dig up the citation and reword the mention — let me know if you think it's acceptable. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 20:38, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Peter Davison on this page
In a recent interview, Peter Davison had this to say about Wikipedia:
- "Wikipedia I use quite a lot – I like Wikipedia in terms of finding things out, learning histories of people you don’t know about. I checked out myself on there. There’s several pages – how do these people find out this information about people? It is largely, I have to say, very accurate. Someone must be stalking me!"
So it looks like the editors of this page are doing a good job! Congratulations all round. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 15:53, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Wow, we're that good? I thought we were good, this page was good, but to be so complemented...yes! DarkestMoonlight (talk) 13:32, 14 April 2008 (UTC), who feels like part of something now.
