Peters and Lee were a successful British folk/pop duo of the 1970s, comprising Lennie Peters (1939 - 10 October 1992) and Dianne Lee (born 1950).

Lennie Peters, who was blinded in an accident when aged 16, was a pianist playing in London pubs when he teamed up with actress and dancer Dianne Lee in 1970. They entered the TV talent show Opportunity Knocks, which they won easily. A record contract was signed with Philips and quickly followed by the number one hit Welcome Home. Shortly after, a successful first album followed, called 'We Can Make It', which also reached the Number One position. Their first year made them the proud owners of two gold records. They also had a hit TV series which made them household names, and frequent appearances on 'Top of the Pops' kept their record sales steady.

They had five hit singles in the Seventies, the second biggest after "Welcome Home" being "Don't Stay Away Too Long'. They also had a run of successful albums throughout the Seventies (including 'By your side', 'Rainbow' and 'Favourites') before splitting up in 1980. Lee then went solo, whilst Peters droppd off the public radar. The duo would later reunite to perform on the 'nostalgia circuit', before Lennie Peters untimely death from bone cancer in 1992, aged 53.
