Peter Jansen is educated as a painter at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, The Netherlands. He taught art at the Academy of Art in Rotterdam and the Utrecht School of the Arts. He was a pioneer in the field of the use of computers in art education in The Netherlands and in 1988 he became Managing Director of the Utrecht School of the Arts, Faculty of Art, Media & Technology. At this moment he travels non-stop over the world, creating his 'Panoramic Works'.

1961 First Godon Prize of the Royal Academy, Diploma Cum Laude.

1963 First Royal Subvention for Fine Arts of the Queen of the Netherlands

1963 Dutch Contribution at the 3rd Paris Biennial.

1965 Second Royal Subvention for Fine Arts of the Queen of the Netherlands

1969-1985 Professor at the Academy of the Fine Arts, Rotterdam

1978-1998 Co-operation with Matthijs van Dam, environmental art.

1982-1985 Member of the Advisory Board of the Minister of Culture

1985-1988 Founder and co-ordinator of the Department of Computer Graphics, Academy of Arts, Rotterdam

1986-1988 Member of the Advisory Board of the Minister of Education in the field of computer use

1988-1993 Managing Director of the Utrecht School of the Arts, Faculty of Art, Media & Technology

1994-now Start of a non-stop travel around the world. Panorama Works and publications for Gottmer Publishers, Holland.
