[edit] Some suggestions for wikipedia as a whole
I think at some point articles should be locked as complete. Frankly, vandalism ruins wikipedia and the best way to go about this is, in my opinion, get a concensus view and any contentious views should be expressed and then sourced and then it's done. If people want to change the article they go to the discussion area and then make further decisions and work with an administrator or arbiter or whatever. This could be done by volunteers obviously with a proven record of taking a more academic approach. I'm posting this in as many places as possible to see what people think.
