Penrice Community College is a 11-16 state school and specialist Language College in St Austell, Cornwall, United Kingdom. Almost 1300 pupils attend it. Languages taught include French, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese and some Cornish. It is also an International School having received a Gold International School Award from the British Council in November 2006. It has educational links with schools around the world. They have made many trips to Kenya since 2005. Mostly the group of people going over there are selected students by the staff that are going on the trip. Students and staff make overseas visits and there is a strong international ethos at the college which is underpinned by an equally strong emphasis on the use of ICT throughout the curriculum. The college has a teacher training programme and has achieved Training School status. It has recently been awarded second specialist status in Vocational Education and is collaborating with other local schools and colleges on vocational courses. The headteacher is currently David Parker, who took over fully in September 2006. He was around at the school in June/July 2006. The uniform was changed in September 2006 by the students filling out a form in PSHE lessons in June 2006. The old uniform was Blue, Black and White, the new one is now only Black and White.
