[edit] Route description
[edit] Montgomery County
PA 263 starts as York Road at its southern terminus at PA 611 (Easton Road) in the unincorporated village of Willow Grove in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County. PA 263 follows York Road north through Upper Moreland before entering the borough of Hatboro after passing under the Pennsylvania Turnpike. In the center of the community, PA 263 intersects Pennsylvania Route 332 (Montgomery Avenue) prior to meeting County Line Road, where PA 263 crosses the Bucks County line and enters Warminster Township.
[edit] Bucks County
In Warminster Township, PA 263 crosses Pennsylvania Route 132 (Street Road). Just before Bristol Road, Old York Road splits off from PA 263; however, PA 263 retains the name York Road. At Bristol Road, PA 263 enters Warwick Township only to leave Warwick for Buckingham Township at Sugar Bottom Road.
In Buckingham, PA 263 intersects the eastern terminus of Pennsylvania Route 313 (Swamp Road) as well as Pennsylvania Route 413 (Durham Road) prior to merging with US 202. The two routes remain concurrent into the unincorporated village of Lahaska, where PA 263 bears off to the left and becomes Upper York Road. At Street Road, PA 263 exits Buckingham and enters Solebury Township.
In the village of Centre Bridge, PA 263 terminates at PA 32 (River Road) just before Upper York Road crosses the Centre Bridge-Stockton Bridge over the Delaware River and into Stockton, New Jersey, where the road continues northward as County Route 523.
