[edit] Cleanup suggestions

pending better arguments I will remove the following:

The farm will displace more than 6,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions that would otherwise be produced by conventional hydrocarbon-fuelled power plants.

This a) doesn't make sense (6000 tons per day? Month? Year?) and b) is irrelevant to the encyclopedia entry.

b) is also true for

30 of these machines can power 20,000 UK homes. --BjornVDM 02:10, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 15% Efficiency

<added 21/01/2008 11:00> The hydraulic PTO system efficiency is near 84%. However the overall efficiency of the device is far less. I believe it would be nearer to 30% than 15% though. Would it not be prudent to remove all claims of device efficiency unless they are supported? I have removed the efficiency since it is unsupported. Please feel free to reinstate the figure if it can be properly referenced. <anon user>

Is this figure right? Sounds low to me. The efficiency mentioned for the hydraulic power conversion module in the google presentation video is 80%, this seems plausible for a hydraulic system. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.215.113.222 (talk)

[edit] First Prototype in 2007!?

The first prototype was installed at the European Marine Energy Centre in Orkney, Scotland, and officially opened on 28 September 2007.[1] This is incorrect. The link refers to a new plant announced in 2007. The prototype was installed in orkney in 2004 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.99.214.52 (talk) 15:16, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
