[edit] Struvite picture

I actually have no idea how to add a scale to that picture. I know it was taken at 40x, but my microscope does not have a built-in scale (and even if it did, I don't have that slide anymore). Any ideas? --Joelmills 04:14, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a try, but it may take a few days. --Joelmills 00:24, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
Ok, let me know what you think. I should have said the image is at 400x, not 40x (I forgot to include the 10x of the eyepiece), which is why the scale is small (4.1 pixels/micron). Luckily at work we have a slide used to count white blood cells that has a grid at the center with 50 micron spacing, so I was able to take a photo of that at the same magnification on the microscope and same F number on the camera. Then I used to GIMP to do the rest. --Joelmills 23:26, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Boogie

I'm sorry to hear about Boogie's disease, and I'm glad he is doing OK. I've only seen a few chronic cases of MMM, never any acute ones (that I know of). --Joelmills 20:59, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

That's a good picture, thanks for adding it. If you have time, could you upload it to Wikimedia Commons? We have a good collection of vet med images there. If you can't, let me know and I'll take care of it. --Joelmills 15:55, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
