There will be eleven books in all, and the tenth book is hinted to be about Old Sanctaphrax floating in Open Sky. It is part of no sequence, just tieing off all of the loose ends and unanswered questions that have developed through the series. Paul Stewart has also written a book that fits in with The Edgelands but not the story itself, The Edge Chronicles Maps.
Another book that is not very well known, but still a part of the Edge Chronicles, is The Lost Barkscrolls, which contains four short stories on the characters of the Edge Chronicles: Quint; The Stone Pilot, Maugin; Keris, Twig's Wife; and Rufus Filantine.

[edit] Muddle Earth
This book contains three small novels that are not available separately; one can only buy them together as Muddle Earth. It contains various parodies of The Lord of the Rings, such as the title spoofing Middle-earth, and with Mount Boom similar to Mount Doom. However, the storyline is completely different from The Lord of the Rings. The books included in Muddle earth are:
- Engelbert the Enormous
- Here Be Dragons
- Dr. Cuddles of Giggle Glade
There is also rumoured to be a sequel to Muddle Earth to be published by Random House Children's books (the Edge Chronicles) in the near future.
