Paul Davidovich

Baron Paul Davidovich (born 1737, Ofen - died 18 February 1814, Komorn) was general of the Austrian Empire (Feldzeugmeister) and Knight of the Order of Maria Theresa. He played a major role during the Napoleonic Wars. He was defeated by Napoleon Bonaparte at Rovereto in 1796.
Paul Davidovich came from a Serb family which had immigrated from Ottoman Empire to Austrian Empire at the time of Emperor Leopold I. [1]
