Pat Mora (born 1942) is a female Mexican-American author and poet. Pat Mora was born in El Paso, Texas. She is married and has 3 grown children. Their names are Libby Martinez, Bill Burnside, and Cissy Burnside.

Pat Mora was born in 1942 in El Paso, Texas. Mrs. Mora received her undergraduate degree from earth and the cultural diversity that is evident in that region of the country. Her stories reflect the admiration she has for the Southwest and they also convey the societal value of the Mexican-American heritage. Patricia is also the founder of the family literacy initiative (El día de los niños/El día de los libros) [1] ,Children’s Day/Book Day, which is held every year on April 30th. In addition to writing, Mrs. Mora is also a popular national speaker.
