Pandit Vishwa mohan bhat is an eminent Hindustani music artiste from India. He is well known for his unique abilities to play the Mohana Veena, an instrument invented and mastered by him. He also has the distinction of being the first Indian artist to win the prestigious Grammy award. Panditji has been practicing Hindustani Music for nearly 3 decades now. He stands out amongst thousands of Hindustani artists due to his exceptional capability of handling the mohana veena and mastery of the music.
Mohana Veena in its original form is a guitar. Panditji has re-engineered the instrument and has added additional strings. The strings have been perfectly placed and fine tuned such that it sounds like an Indian Veena.
Panditji is one of those rare examples, wherein an instrument is famous because of the person playing it.
