Palmdale High School is located in Palmdale, California and is part of the Antelope Valley Union High School District. About 4,000 students attend Palmdale High School in grades 9 through 12.
Palmdale High School was founded in 1956.
The school's website defines its mission as follows:
“Our mission is to provide a safe and secure learning environment that promotes a rigorous curriculum and enables our students to develop the necessary academic, technical, and work-related skills of the 21st century. Every student who graduates will be prepared to pursue college or any career to which he/she aspires.”

Palmdale High School is known for its world renowned choir, usually scoring in the high 90s in competition. The program is directed by Mike McCullough and travels every year to festivals around the world. The international trips started in 1999 with a trip to the Shrewsbury International Music Festival in England. More recently, in 2006, they received 3rd overall in the world in Verona, Italy. The choir is scheduled to compete in Ireland, 2008.
Just recently at the Heritage Festival in San Francisco the PHS Chamber Group Scored 94.95 and was awarded 6th place in the nation.
