Owen Fegan

Owen Fegan was born November 1st, 1972 in Cork, Ireland. He is a founding member of Irish rock band Rubyhorse, formed in 1987 with schoolmates Dave Farrell, Decky Lucey, Joe Philpott, and Gordon Ashe. Upon the band's move from Cork, Ireland to Boston, Massachusetts in 1997, he became part of a notorious success story when, within a year of intense industry bidding, the band finally signed to Los Angeles based label, Interscope Records.

After a musical career which saw two major-label recording contracts (Interscope Records and Island Records), a single (Sparkle) which reached #12 on the Billboard charts in the summer of 2002, a collaboration with George Harrison on the track "Punchdrunk", appearances on the David Letterman Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Good Morning America, as well as international tours, sharing stages with artists as diverse as R.E.M., INXS, and Def Leppard, Owen finally left Rubyhorse behind, and moved to New York city to pursue a solo musical career, and indulge his other passions of art and photography.

Soon after his move to New York city, Owen accepted a position as a Creative Director at SPIN Magazine, remaining close to his love of music, while developing his skills as a photographer.

He continues to solidify his reputation as a photographer, his work appearing in major commercial campaigns, as well as magazines such as SPIN, Rolling Stone, Blender, High Times, as well as Tom Petty's "Runnin' Down A Dream" biography alongside Mark Seliger, Annie Leibovitz, and Danny Clinch (who coincidentally shot Rubyhorse's "Rise" album cover).

Owen currently resides in New York city, working full time at Rolling Stone magazine.
