Osiris is a skateboarding footwear company based in Southern California. Started in the late 1990's by avid pro skater/surfer Evan Copeland. Copeland, a local legend in Hermosa Beach, CA, started the company with pro skater Justin Payton and pro surfer Andrew Romans. Copeland approached Romans and Payton at Blacker Surf & Skate in Hermosa Beach, the store owned by future team member Greg Blacker. Once Payton and Romans both arrived, Copeland told them of his business idea, and it took off with them. Of course Blacker found out of this and Copeland was happy to give him a spot on the team. Many more members from California and one from the greater Orlando, FL area, Schmicky Hocken-Bergen. They have become the least known, yet greatest skate team in the United States. Ranked by Thrasher Magazine as the 48th best skate team in the world, as well as the brand as 26th best in the greater San Diego, CA area. Romans and Throneburg are currently moving into their house in the Hollywood Hills. In the Fall, MTV will launch a television show following their life titled "Rom & Burg". Also living in the house will be Romans's pet bulldog named Meaty and their personal assistant, Jordan Klein a.k.a "Drama". Also, many members of the professional skate team appear regularly at the Tampa Pro skate contest every year.

Evan Copeland was origanally born in Decatur, IL, until age 12 when he moved to the rough area of South Central Los Angeles, CA. Being raised in such a childhood of violence, drugs, alcohol, and his gang relation, it looked like he would never get out of his neighborhood. However he managed to get a scholarship at UCLA and shake his gang relation by age 18. This is when he picked up a skateboard. Although he started late, he got extremely good very quickly, good enough to get noticed by Blacker Surf & Skate of Hermosa Beach, this was the sponsor that would earn him the money for Osiris and his apartment in Hermosa Beach, he would also meet a young surfer

Osiris Shoes Designed by pro-skater Dave Mayhew the D3 started as a slow seller, but when Osiris began liquidating their surplus, the D3 popularity increased and started to sell well ^[1].

The second version of this shoe was called the Osiris D3 2001 Model, which proved to be very popular as well. Osiris then released a smaller, lighter, less bulky version called the D3 NTX. This was followed by D3 4.0. Osiris also released a D3 Snowboarding boot, based on the design of the D3 2001 model.

In her music video for Complicated, Avril Lavigne is seen wearing a pair of D3 2001s. She is also seen wearing a pair of original D3s on the album cover of her album Let Go.
