Orrtanna is an unincorporated census-designated place in Adams County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 169 at the 2000 census.

Orrtanna is located at 39°50′53″N, 77°21′27″W (39.848021, -77.357446)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.5 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 169 people, 69 households, and 52 families residing in the community. The population density was 921.8 people per square mile (362.5/km²). There were 71 housing units at an average density of 387.3/sq mi (152.3/km²). The racial makeup of the community was 98.22% White, 0.59% Asian, and 1.18% from two or more races.

There were 69 households out of which 27.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.4% were married couples living together, 13.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.6% were non-families. 18.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.81.

The population is spread out with 22.5% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 24.9% from 25 to 44, 27.2% from 45 to 64, and 17.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 43 years. For every 100 females there were 96.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.1 males.

The median income for a household in the community was $41,875, and the median income for a family was $54,063. Males had a median income of $40,000 versus $20,673 for females. The per capita income for the community was $21,257. About 10.6% of families and 19.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 43.2% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those sixty five or over.
