Orland Township is located in Cook County, Illinois. The population was 91,418 at the 2000 census. It includes the entire village of Orland Hills, almost all of Orland Park, as well as a large portion of Tinley Park.

Orland Township is bordered by Harlem Avenue (Illinois Route 43) on the east, 135th Street on the north, Will-Cook Road on the west (where Cook County and Will County share a border), and 183rd Street on the south (which is also the Cook-Will county border).

To the north of Orland Township is Palos Township, to the west is Homer Township in Will County, Illinois, to the south is Frankfort Township (also in Will County), and to the east is Bremen Township. To the northwest is Lemont Township, to the northeast is Worth Township, to the southeast is Rich Township and to the southwest is New Lenox Township (also in Will County).
