Omega Sektor

Omega Sektor is a computer gaming centre based in Priory Square on Corporation Street, in Birmingham, United Kingdom. It claims to be the largest of its kind in the world[1][2].
The centre cost approximately £4 million[3] and opened its doors to the public on Saturday 11th August, 2007, with a VIP opening day on the 10th. The building was previously occupied by Virgin Megastores.[4]
The centre occupies 22,000 square feet[3] and contains consoles including PS3s and XBOX 360s in addition to over 400 PCs. The centre also includes an internet café, a VIP room for private events, large plasma screens and projectors scattered around the centre and a sound-proof room where music videos are displayed.[5]
Under-15s are barred from the upper floor: the bar on this floor is open only to over-18s and 15+ rated games are also available. Games on the ground floor are aimed more at families and younger children.
While membership is free, prices do change from time to time - as of January 2008, a new pricing scheme has been introduced. £5 pays for all day admission for unlimited gaming. Entry after 8pm costs £3. The price is for that day only and does not carry over. Prices for the internet café remain the same and Omega Sektor will be introducing the top game titles onto the computers in that area.
The bar is open from Friday to Monday from 5pm – 11pm and carries and range of beer, spirits and other drinks. Use of the bar is free of charge to those who have bought drinks.
