Omega Capricorni (ω Cap / ω Capricorni) is a star in the constellation Capricornus, with the traditional but seldom used name Baten Algiedi, which is Arabic for "belly of the goat".
ω Capricorni is a M-type red giant with an apparent magnitude of +4.12. It is also classed as a variable star because of its regular fluctuations in luminosity and absolute magnitude. It is approximately 630 light years from Earth.
