Olav Vadstein

Olav Vadstein (born 14 February 1955) is a Norwegian professor of biology.
Vadstein grew up in Oslo, Norway, and is a professor at Laboratory of Biotechnology, University of Trondheim, Norway. Did his Doctor philosicum in 1994: "The Role of Heterotrophic Planktonic Bacteria and the Cyclus of Phosphorus in Lakes'. He has been working as a researcher at Trondheim Biology Station, NTNU. He was in charge of the ComWeb-project in Hopavaagen, and has worked with large names like Maricult and Hydro. Vadstein is an internationally acknowledged scientist and speaker on micro- and marine biology conferences throughout the world.
