Odin Lowe

Odin Lowe is a character from the fictional Gundam timeline After Colony Era, appearing in the manga Gundam Wing: Episode Zero. According to production notes, he was modelled after French actor Jean Reno, particularly his appearance in Léon (aka The Cleaner, The Professional, or Léon the Professional).
Odin Lowe was a former member of the Organization of the Zodiac and a professional hitman. He was the man who successfully assassinated the outspoken colonial representative, Hiiro Yui.
In a twist of irony, he would become the guardian of a boy who would become the infamous namesake of the fallen man. Along with protecting the boy, who also gave him a convenient alibi, Lowe taught the child how to survive on his own and how to handle a gun. In AC 188, the pair went to incomplete colony L3-X18999 on a mission to assassinate the Alliance's General Septum. Lowe failed in his mission, and was shot while attempting to escape. As he hid away, Lowe encountered Dekim Barton, who had contracted the assassination. Odin made the error of thinking that Dekim was there to help him, but the older man pulled a gun, shooting Lowe through the heart and calling it revenge, presumably for the assassination of Hiiro Yui; Dekim was one of Yui's aides and an admirer of the martyred leader.
Fortunately, the young Hiiro had been sent to aid colonial rebels in their battle against OZ's Specials stationed on the colony. He escaped successfully, and found his dying mentor. As he died, Lowe told the boy to live by his emotions, reminding him that it only takes one foolish person to change the world.
Left alone, the boy began wandering the colonies until he was discovered by Doctor J. Admiring the child's bearing, J offered him the chance to pilot a Gundam and free the colonies. His mentor's words ringing in his ears, the boy accepted.
