this is really conflicting, which is it? "Nurse sharks are nocturnal animals, spending the day in large groups of up to 40 individuals." "By day, the sharks are largely solitary; they spend most of their time rifling through the bottom sediments in search of food."

So, are they solitary or hang out in groups?

That was a typo: the second sentence you quoted should have said "By night..." I've fixed this. (So to answer your question, they're both—depending on the time of day.) -- Hadal 01:41, 24 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Nurse shark(s)

This article is about Nurse sharks (with an s)(Ginglymostomatidae), i.e. the family nurse sharks, NOT the shark nurse shark (Ginglymostoma cirratum), this page should really be deleted and the redirect page nurse sharks should be the main page, this should then be a page about the real shark species, when and if it gets created. Comments? have this discussion been had before? Stefan 12:55, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

OK, now done move of nurse shark to nurse sharks and create short article about the species (mostly copied from Nurse sharks article, nad tried to fix all redirects. Stefan 14:07, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grey nurse shark

Is the Grey nurse shark a species of nurse shark? It's classification seems to indicate it isn't, in which case there should be a clarificatory note in both articles. It seems strange that that species not be related to the nurse sharks however given its similar reproductive technique. mgekelly 07:12, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

According to fishbase and ITIS it is not a nurse shark, I would call it sand tiger as its primary name, not sure where it is called grey nurse and not sure what is the most common name. Agree that we should add a section explaining this, but it should contain a explanation of where it is called grey nurse and since I do not know that I will not write it, I will try to find out though .... [edit] Diet

There are two consecutive sentences in this section that start with "Their diet consists of", which I find a little bit confusing. Bulbous 20:05, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge?

I see no need. Can someone say why it would be a good idea please. GrahamBould 07:04, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

No need. Keep. I think I made the split, or at least make a article of the previous redirect. Where is the text explaining why to merge? I can not find it? Stefan 13:54, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Definately not, they are different things. Almost like merging Tiger with Cat.Chris_huhtalk 14:28, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
