"... allowing the crows to steal their second premiership in as many years" - I don't think the word 'steal' is in the spirit of wikipedia...
[edit] Club name
Is this edit correct? -- Chuq 06:43, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- (note this has long been fixed) -- Schem 03:39, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New Logo
"...changed their logo, mainly due to strong supporter pressure" - I don't recall this being the reason at all. Does anyone still have the issue of their "Roos News" magazine with that in it? -- Schem 03:39, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] No longer North Melbourne
This entire article needs to be modernised, the North Melbourne Football Club are officially no longer called that name, they are now called The Kangaroos Football Club and have been called that from about 2002. The artciled needs to be re-named Kangaroos and has to be completely re-written to conform to their new name.(Jones234Jones 00:50, 19 May 2007 (UTC))
- I disagree with this. The actual club is the North Melbourne Football Club. While they do promote themselves as "the Kangaroos" they are not the "Kangaroos Football Club". We should revert this edit and include aka North Melbourne in the first line. Schem 07:17, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- Welcome to last year. From the Roos website The decision to play and trade under the banner of the Kangaroos reflected the Club's decision to broaden its national appeal. While we are and always shall remain the North Melbourne Football Club, fully capitalising on the Club's long-standing nickname the Kangaroo - a true Australian icon - is believed to provide significant opportunities in developing an Australia-wide profile. I'll try to revert it back. And I don't think that 6 hrs, 40 mins is long enough to decide this.

- Kangaroos Football Club they definitely are not. That name is NEVER used by the club. The Kangaroos maybe, but that is far too broad a title for the page. The-Pope 02:09, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

- Definitely not "Kangaroos Football Club". They may play as the "Kangaroos" but the CLUB is named "North Melbourne Football Club". --Grimface 87 06:25, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
ISSUE IS NOW RESOLVED. On the 6th of December James Brayshaw announced that the club is goin back to the name North Melbourne NimChief (talk) 16:53, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism?
The "Best and Fairest" entry for 1959 has been changed on July 18th, 2007 from "Boh Smells" to "Conor Connorson" by 124.168.129.185, who has made several vandalizing edits. Perhaps somebody could check this particular entry. 91.0.234.131 12:21, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:North-2006h.gif
Image:North-2006h.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
