North Hagerstown High School is located at 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, in Hagerstown, Maryland. The current principal is Valerie Novak, a former vice principal of Northern Middle School. The school's colors are Red, White, and Black.

North Hagerstown High School originated in 1926 and is “The Hub of Better Learning.” Thousands of graduates proudly proclaim allegiance to the school for its fine educational opportunities. North Hagerstown High’s nickname “Hub” stems from the historical and geographical location of the city along waterways, railroads, and interstate highways. Major highways intersect within the city, including I-70 and I-81, and provide arteries of transportation to and from the East Coast. Just as these highways form the center or “Hub.” North Hagerstown High is the center of its students’ preparation for advanced education and the professions, to learn a skill or trade, and to acquire sufficient knowledge and understanding to enable them to succeed. North Hagerstown High School is fully accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education. North Hagerstown High students are encouraged to participate in clubs, organizations, and athletics.
The school is notable for recently opening a brand-new athletic facility, Mike Callas Stadium, featuring a synthetic grass field, and the largest free-standing scoreboard in the state of Maryland. The stadium's grand opening was on November 3, 2006, when the Hubs defeated Catoctin High School, 49-36.
