[edit] Features
The Nokia 7110 was the first Mobile Phone to have a WAP Browser (Wireless Application Protocol) or Microbrowser. It was also the first phone to feature Dynamic memory in the contacts, calendar and Messages and the first Nokia phone to feature SNAKE II, Racket (later in the Series 40 phones).[citation needed]
Additionally it was the first mass produced attempt at how ternary (three soft) key selections could be implemented.[citation needed] This early 'experimentation' has meant that the Nokia user interface has developed limited ambiguity.[clarify][citation needed]

While the 7110 is often said[cite this quote] to be the phone that appeared in The Matrix, this honor in fact belongs to the Nokia 8110.[3] In fact, the spring loaded feature was added to the 7110 model, due to the fact that the cover on the real 8110 was not spring loaded, so that the phone would appeal to Matrix fans.[4]
