Lara has been on the road since August 1995. Live performances are a strong angle to the development of his career. He has created a very solid fan base, the majority is directly due to his live shows. Lara has played from small coffeehouse acoustic performances to sold-out arenas.
He has toured with Lenny Kravitz, Blues Traveler, Natalie Merchant and many others.
In June and July of 1996, Lara toured many festivals in Europe.
In August of 1996, Lara had a very successful promotional tour of Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, England, Japan, and Spain.
The 1999 summer tour covered 15 cities in the Southeastern USA.
