Nikitta Angus is a Scottish Singer/Songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland. She first came into the public eye in The X Factor 2006 for its third series. She was mentored by Simon Cowell and finished in 7th place. She has toured around 20 different venues in the UK since The X Factor and has signed a management deal with BMMG (Brown Moose Music Group). Her debut single is set to be released in spring 2008 according to her Official MySpace.

[edit] Early life
Nikitta Angus has always loved music. One of her idols is Celine Dion, her dream is to become just like her. Angus began her career at a very young age by entering lots of Karaoke contests.
[edit] The X Factor 2004
Angus auditioned for The X Factor in 2004 for its first series but was knocked down by a car 10 minutes before her audition. Soon after this Angus received tragic news that her mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Before her mother passed away she said to Angus "You keep doing your singing, You’ll make it".
[edit] The X Factor 2006
2 years later Angus decided to audition for The X Factor due to what had happened last time and to carry out her mother's wish. In her first audition in front of judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, Angus performed a song titled "Dimming Of The Day" which she sang at her mother's funeral. The judges were amazed and Simon Cowells comments were "It’s not often someone comes in here and sings straight from the heart. You have a beautiful voice Nikitta; your mum would be very proud of you." After this Angus became one of the favorites to win the show and sailed through bootcamp to get to the Live Stages. She got through the first 5 Live shows with no trouble but then found her self in the bottom 2 in Live Show 6 with Ray Quinn in which she was sent home. She also toured with the other finalists in an Arena tour in over 20 venues.
[edit] 2007: New Management Deal - BMMG
On 25th October 2007 Angus signed a new management deal with Brown Moose Music Group Ltd. The announcement came after months of negotiations. BMMG will now be managing Angus's career and can release records with her on the label.
[edit] 2007-2008: Cinderella
Angus appeared in a starring role in Cinderella at the Famous Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow from 28-Nov-2007 to 26-Jan-2008.
[edit] Summer 2008: Album/Single
BMMG have announced that Nikitta Angus will release a single in the summer of 2008 followed by an album. It will include covers of "Dimming of the Day" and "Umbrella". It will also include original songs "Buggin", "Tell Me" and others.
