Talk:Night Time Is the Right Time
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Who wrote it?
Roosevelt Sykes performed (and claimed to have written) a song by this name in the 1930s, containing the line "The night time is the right time to be with the one you love". It's boogie woogie and far from identical to, say, the Ray Charles version. But perhaps it's an ancestor. Copprmax 04:50, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
The Wikipedia listing is wrong. This is, indeed, the same song Roosevelt Sykes wrote and recorded for Decca in 1937 and again in 1938. Numerous artists have performed/recorded the song over the years and, understandably, each has his/her own approach to it, but it is the same song--not just a line. -- Christiern Albertson —Preceding unsigned comment added by Christiern Albertson (talk • contribs) 15:35, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
