Nigel Osborne

Nigel Osborne MBE, FRCM (b. 23 June 1948 Manchester, Greater Manchester, England) is a British composer.
He serves as Reid Professor of music at the University of Edinburgh.
He studied composition with Kenneth Leighton (his predecessor as Reid Professor of Music at the University of Edinburgh), Egon Wellesz (the first pupil of Arnold Schoenberg), and Witold Rudziński. He also studied at the Polish Radio Experimental Studio in Warsaw.
