[edit] Language

Stop adding those 3 language games to the List of languages article. It's not supposed to be a fun list. Please inform yourself first a) what a language is and b) what this article wants to include (it says it does not list constructed langauges; Esperanto is a special case, though). Pig Latin, Ubbi Dubbi and Opish are not languages, they are merely modifications that one could apply to nearly any language, they don't have any phonology, syntax or vocabulary, as all natural (and even artificial) langauges do. So please leave them out, they do not belong into the list. — N-true 03:01, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wenis repost

Do not repost material that has previously been deleted, it is considered vandalism. Thank you. --Charles 19:39, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits to Milwaukee Brewers

I am not sure if "The Brewers is a team" is correct grammar in American English when reliable news sources print the otherwise:

  • "The Brewers are a team on the rise" [1]
  • "the Cardinals are a team without [2]
  • "The Heat are a team that can do either" [3]
  • "The Yankees are a team that builds runs" [4]
  • "The Red Sox are a team that connects generations" [5]
  • "Chicago reliever Mike Sirotka believes the White Sox are a team that can make a comeback" [6]
  • "The Giants are a team in flux" [7]
  • "The Redskins are a team that won all the close games in September" [8]

Thanks. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 22:40, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Here are some more specific examples:
  • "the Milwaukee Brewers are a team 'picked to click' this season" [9]
  • "Ultimately, it comes down to if the Boston Red Sox are a better team with Wily Mo Pena" [10]
  • " Still, the strongest proof yet that the Dallas Cowboys are a completely new team under coach Bill Parcells lies in beating the Philadelphia Eagles and how they did it" [11]
  • "The Miami Heat are a different team from when they lost to the Dallas Mavericks in February" [12]
  • "The Minnesota Vikings are a hard team to take seriously" [13]
  • "That's why it doesn't seem to be such a leap in logic for me to say that the Minnesota Vikings are a team of destiny this year." [14]
  • "The Los Angeles Lakers are a very dangerous team to have to play in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs" [15]

Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. [edit] Collegefuckfest.com

A tag has been placed on Collegefuckfest.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
