[edit] Encyclopedic style

I think sentences such as these in the article are very un-cyclopedic and borderline NPOV: "Nick is extremely passionate about giving back to the community and is especially inspired by programs that help children. He is currently involved in a number of great opportunities for children who may not be as fortunate as others. To find out more about his current community service, please go to Community Relations."AmritTuladhar 03:59, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Anna Kournikova citation

It is stated, "who credited with developing many world-class champions. Among them are Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Monica Seles, Anna Kournikova, and..." Well, it seems that "world-class champions" has to be qualified in this entry. And judging on the names of other players cited, Anna Kournikova is clearly the stand out--especially when she didn't even win a single title. And although I must agree that she won numerous doubles title, the other players included are known more for their singles career rather than doubles. In any case, I tried correcting this by removing her name, but some editors/fanatics would always make sure to associate Nick Bollettieri with Anna Kournikova. I think it is better to do that in Anna Kournikova's article, not in this one--beside, it is more appropriate to mention her name in the Nick Bollettieri Academy article, not in this one. Agreed! Just re-removed Kournikova. --Julescubtree 05:43, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

I disagree. Anna Kournikova won Grand Slam Doubles titles. She was 8th in the world in singles in a competitive era. How can she not be viewed as a champion? Because she never reached potential? Moreover, her link to Bollettieri has to be mentioned in Nick's article.--Lindsay (talk) 03:09, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Website material copied into article

(New Wikipedia User. So please bear with me if I don't know somethings that seem obvious to you)

This article is blatant self-promotion and the content is picked up directly from the bio page on his website. Bio Page —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rk2578 (talk • contribs) 08:32, 12 March 2007 (UTC).

If the subject was the person who did that, yes, it's self-promotion, but it may not have been him. I see you posted this concern on the article's talk page also, which was a good thing to do.
The article has been around since early July 2004 and it was still developing normally more than two years later in September 2006. *
The simplest solution is to revert to the last good version * before website content was copied into it, then check it over to see if any legitimate wikifying got lost in the process and repair that if needed. If you don't know how to do it, tell us here and one us will, OK? — Athænara 11:47, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Done. 00:00, 13 March 2007 (UTC). — Æ.
