High school student Nick O'Leary (Michael Cera), member of the queercore band The Jerk Offs, meets college-bound Norah Silverberg (Kat Dennings) and asks her to be his girlfriend for five minutes in order to avoid his ex-sweetheart and ends up falling in love with her.

As of October, 2007, the movie is filming and is set for October 3, 2008 release.
Sections of the movie were filmed in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at Union Pool, as well as the legendary Don Hill's in Tribeca. Additional filming took place in New York City's Lower East Side.
