This article isn't bad, but it needs some work. One, the history isn't too detailed. It just mentions everything after 1924, which I'm sure is not the year the roadway was built. If possible, look into some more pre-numbering facts and throw them in the article. Also, I see lack of non-breaking spaces and certain other thing in the MoS. I have placed the article on hold for now.Mitch32contribs 20:24, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

I've added the non-breaking spaces, but I fail to see the other MoS issues. Could you please specify? Juliancolton The storm still blows... 01:48, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
The non-breaking spaces should have gone in between "NY" and the number, not where they are now. See Interstate 355. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 10:33, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and fixed them, plus added some where missing. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 10:50, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Nope, just the major aspects thing is left.Mitch32contribs 01:51, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Ah, ok. I don't know where I could find maps or such to find history facts prior to 1924, but maybe I'll look in the library or something. Juliancolton The storm still blows... 01:55, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
I find this to be a double standard. Very few NY route articles have pre-1924 history, and six articles that you nominated for Good Article status lack any pre-1924 history. If you thought that those articles were good enough to be Good Articles without pre-1924 history, then what's the issue here? To me, this article comes across as just as good as New York State Route 428, an article that you nominated for GA that is virtually identical to this article in terms of length, coverage, and imagery. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 10:41, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Actually, upon looking at both NY 428 and NY 292 side-by-side, I'd say NY 292 compares favorably to NY 428. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 10:44, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Ok, this article passes after all. Seems we don't need it.Mitch32contribs 13:45, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
