New York State Route 75 is a north-south state highway in the western part of New York, USA. The northern end is near Lake Erie in the Town of Hamburg. The highway ends in the Town of Collins. The entire route is within the southern portion of Erie County.

[edit] Route description
NY 75 begins at NY 39 in the Collins hamlet of Collins Center. The highway heads northward as Sisson Highway into the Town of North Collins, where it intersects with NY 249 in Langford. Past NY 249, NY 75 crosses into the Town of Eden and parallels South Creek northward to an intersection with U.S. Route 62 just south of the Hamburg town line. NY 75 and US 62 merge here, forming a short overlap north to the village of Hamburg.
In Hamburg, US 62 splits from NY 75 at Main Street, following Main east into the village. NY 75, however, follows Lake Street along the western edge of the village prior to becoming Camp Road once outside the village limits. Continuing northwest, NY 75 interchanges with the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) at exit 57 just ahead of a junction with U.S. Route 20. Past US 20, NY 75 traverses the main railroad lines of both CSX Transportation and the Norfolk Southern Railway, then breaks from Camp Road to follow St. Francis Drive northeast to its terminus at an interchange with NY 5 in northwest Hamburg near the hamlet of Athol Springs.

Upon assignment in the 1930s, NY 75 began at Great Valley and overlapped then-U.S. Route 219 (now US 219, Chautauqua County Route 12, Erie County Routes 82, 181, 413, 228 and 227, and NY 391) northward to Hamburg, where it joined its modern alignment northwest to NY 5 near Athol Springs. At the time, what is now NY 75 between Collins Center and U.S. Route 62 in Eden was designated as New York State Route 18A, a spur of NY 18, which overlapped US 62 from Dayton to Niagara Falls.[2] NY 75 was later truncated on its southern end to Hamburg by 1947.[3]
When NY 18 was truncated to Lewiston in the 1960s, NY 75 was extended south to Collins Center over the former routing of NY 18A.[4][5]
