The New Las Vegas Arena is a description of a 20,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Paradise, Nevada, United States that is currently in the planning stages. It is due to be open in 2010. It is hoped that it will attract a National Basketball Association or National Hockey League franchise with it.[1] Groundbreaking is due to commence in the summer of 2008.
This arena, which will be located behind Bally's Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas, is being developed by Harrah's Entertainment and Anschutz Entertainment Group. It is competing with another arena proposal, which is favored by Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman, that would be located downtown.
