New Bremen is a village in Auglaize County, Ohio, United States with a population of 2,909 as of the 2000 U.S. census. It is included in the Wapakoneta, Ohio Micropolitan Statistical Area.

The village was founded by German immigrants in 1833, and is home to the Bicycle Museum of America.

New Bremen is located at 40°26′11″N, 84°22′46″W (40.436301, -84.379542)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.1 square miles (5.3 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 2,909 people, 1,073 households, and 792 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,410.5 people per square mile (545.2/km²). There were 1,131 housing units at an average density of 548.4/sq mi (212.0/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.28% White, 0.03% African American, 0.38% Native American, 0.52% Asian, 0.14% from other races, and 0.65% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.31% of the population.

There were 1,073 households out of which 40.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.6% were married couples living together, 6.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.1% were non-families. 24.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.71 and the average family size was 3.26.

In the village the population was spread out with 31.6% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 30.4% from 25 to 44, 19.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 96.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.0 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $51,643, and the median income for a family was $61,011. Males had a median income of $37,324 versus $24,979 for females. The per capita income for the village was $20,401. About 0.8% of families and 1.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under age 18 and 3.1% of those age 65 or over.

On October 15, 2005, New Bremen made the Guinness Book of World Records by being home to the world's largest pumpkin pie. The pie consisted of 900 pounds of pumpkin, 62 gallons of evaporated milk, 1860 eggs, 3.5 pounds of salt, 7 pounds of cinnamon, 2 pounds of pumpkin spices, and 250 pounds of crust. The final pie weighed 2020 pounds and was 17 feet in diameter.

New Bremen contains Locks from the Miami and Erie Canal. The town is rich in canal history and contains many historic canal sights.

New Bremen is also home to the Bicycle Museum of America, which contains the country's largest collection of bicycles.
