[edit] Nigel McGuinness

The argument used at the time was that wikipedia was being the single source for the information, which due to the IMDb change has since become voided. I have since attempted several dialogues to no response on this matter as it is the SOLE exception to pretty much every other biography article on wikipedia making it's situation entirely unique, especially as its situation has no basis in either law or wikipedia policy. –– Lid(Talk) 01:10, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Incredibly Strange Wrestling page

Dear Nenog:

I have tried to present the article on Incredibly Strange Wrestling in as neutral a tone as possible. I do not understand why you have marked it for deletion. When I have looked at the "Dont's" section for pro wrestling articles, the entry on ISW has clearly not violated these. There are no rumor announcements, no setting up of angles with the wikipedia entry or the like. It is just a very straightforward piece on a small promotion that managed to have greater reach than it should have. The lists of ISW characters and bands that have played ISW shows are items of interest to anyone seeking information on this promotion. They are not mere hype. If you can please give me specific editorial direction to keep this entry from being deleted it would be greatly appreciated.

[edit] Incredibly Strange Wrestling page

Thank you for your reply to my query. I will continue to work on the ISW page. ISW has headlined this historic Fillmore in San Francisco (although those days are behind the promotion) and it was even mentioned by Ann Powers of the New York Times review of the 2001 Warped Tour. Here is a link to her review... ROCK REVIEW; Punk, Served More Often Sweet Than Raw

When I go over the article again tomorrow, I will add the NY Times article as a reference and bring references into the piece in a more concrete way.

[edit] PROD removed

A few of the wrestler PRODs that you added have been removed, I have an AfD running with a group of de-PROD-ed articles here [1]. Darrenhusted 17:12, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Cheers for tidying up the to-do list on WP:PW for me. Darrenhusted 12:56, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Prodded wrestlers

Thought I'd let you know that I deprodded Venus (wrestler) because it had previously survived prod[2] and Tony Stetson because it previously was kept at AfD[3]. Feel free to AfD these. NickelShoe (Talk) 16:32, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hangman 3

Hi, I thought I would explain why I reverted your edit. Yes the group is NOW called Hangman 3, but they did not call themselves that until after their match yesterday. This means that they had no group name in the match. We have covered this before, like when Edge and Randy Orton teames up before they started calling themselves [{Rated-RKO]] (in that case, we just listed them as "Edge and Randy Orton"). In future ROH events, we will call them Hangman 3 if they continue using that name. Do you have and problems with that? TJ Spyke 23:31, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "if still champion"

I am going to assume that you don't know how we list PPV's before they air. Of coarse every match is subject to change and that champions can lose the title. The "(c)" just means that they are the CURRENT champion. If they lose the title, we will just change the match to whatever the company has it as. TJ Spyke 00:22, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Not quite. He is the champion, so we should/will list him as the champion unless something changes before the PPV taping. EVERY title match is dependant on the champion not losing the title before the PPV. There's no benefit or point in having "if still champion" instead of just "c". TJ Spyke 00:12, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
You do know that admitting that you will start an edit war on purpose doesn't help you out any? Whether or not WWE/TNA admit that the champions can lose the belts before the PPV (which HAS happened in WWE, unlike in TNA) doesn't change the fact. The "(c)" just means they are the CURRENT champion and is what should be listed. You want to go against consensus, that means you need to get people to agree. TJ Spyke 00:48, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
I know what ROH does (and the fact that no one except you thinks it should be listed the way you want it). You know what, I know you are 100% wrong but I don't feel like risking a ban over such a stupid thing. Just for the record, on the previous ROH PPV articles we just used "(c)" and for the next one we will do the same thing, but for this one you can have it as "if still champion" since I won't be the one that starts an edit war. From the Editor

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! I hope this will be a good source of news to those people interested in what's happening around our pro wrestlimg community. I plan to release it every Sunday.

This newsletter will just be a way to get the community announcements to people who don't have the time to check the mesageboards, as well that to those just curious about the news. The newsleter will consist of a project news section (to do with what's happening on Wikipedia), and a current events section (relating to news in the "real world"). The newslette will also contain the Collaboration of the Week announcement.

That's all. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please post them at this talk page.

[edit] Image source problem with Image:ROHWorldBelt.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:ROHWorldBelt.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:04, 27 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Latin American X-Change 11:04, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Punk.Daniels/Cactus

Didn't realize it was a true fact... just see so much junk added to those pages (especially by i.p.s), thought it was vandalism or rumor. That said, any response you've got, make it here (I'll be watching this page). Hezekiah957 (talk) 05:11, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ROH

I don't normally read the ROH messageboard. The same applies to WWE PPV articles though. If you don't state where the info is from, it gets removed. Just say where you get the match from (i.e. provide the URL). TJ Spyke 05:25, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fan Sites

In Ref to the message you left on my page: Have you actually looked at those websites? There is nothing on then to suggest that they are official sites. It is not up to me to prove that they are NOT official sites - the honus is on them to prove that they ARE official sites.

What proof do you have that they are official sites - provide references and i will stop deleting the link, otherwise i will continue to do so - wikipedia users shouldn't be fooled by fan sites claiming to be Official. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Talia madison (talkcontribs) 17:45, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
