[edit] Dinosaurs of the Isle of Wight

You're welcome, and it's not that obscure... the Isle of Wight was one of the tips of the Wealden Formation, which helped start everything until that huge boom across the Atlantic. If you used the book to write the article, you might want to write it up as a formal reference... it's pretty authoritative :) 68.81.231.127 10:47, 26 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] IAYC

Hi Neil, I am the suspicious person, who edited the IAYC page. Indeed, as you guessed correctly, I took part in the IAYC. If it was once or twice I forgot. For details cf. http://www.iayc.org/people/address.php .

Probably I am not rally the most unsuspicious one with respect to advertising the iayc... but as I said: I am not part of the organising team...:-) --CWitte 16:43, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] St. George's Day

St. George's Day has been proposed at UK COTW. I'd noticed you'd shown interest when it was previously nominated, and now the UK COTW page is once again seeing more interest there are high hopes that something will happen with the article. Please come along to the board and register your vote and any thoughts. Grunners 04:56, 6 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] rehash of UK CotW

Hiya, I've made a few modifications to the UK Wikipedians' Collaboration of the Week, and I thought you'd be interested in the new page and helping out again with it, as you have contributed in the past! :) Talrias | talk 21:09, Mar 14, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Template for Election Candidates and Results

Neil, based on your (really nice) original table of election results on the IoW page, and input from elsewhere, I've created a pukka set of templates at Template:Election box. 80N 15:49, Apr 25, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] heartsease

Hi Neil... if I've read the history correctly, you added to the heartsease page the remark that "Heartsease have a large number of coloquial name, up to two hundred". Do you have an authority for that? It's an interesting observation but perhaps should be backed up. seglea 00:08, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Sadly no, that was way back before I knew that everything should be referenced properly, and was based upon a quotation from QI (a British game show).

[edit] Category:UK Wikipedians

Hi, just to let you know that the list of UK participants at the UK notice board was getting rather long, so I have replaced it with the above category which I have added to your user page. -- Francs2000 | Talk 30 June 2005 20:28 (UTC)

[edit] WP:UKPC

Dear Neil,

Given that you have contributed significantly to UK Parliamentary constituency articles, I suggest you enrol in the above linked WikiProject o them.

As an aside, I am also a student at Oxford (Oriel College), and given a reasonable similarity in intersts in politics, I was wondering if you might be willing to meet up some time? --New Progressive 23:48, 5 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Peer review

I noticed your peer review for List of parties contesting the United Kingdom general election, 2005 was orphaned on the PR page :(. Peer review is wonderful in principle, but just doesn't get the sustained traffic. Anyhow, I've made some comments on it if you want to check it out. Marskell 23:57, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Astronomy heads-up

Hi - I edited astronomy last night to remove some excess astrology stuff, including the listing of astrology as a field of study under astronomy. My changes were quickly reverted by a self proclaimed judicial astrologer. As you have argued for rationality in the astronomy article before, I thought you would find it interesting - and help may be needed :-) Thanks, Vsmith 14:33, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Montenegro referendum map

Sort of shades of the whole red state/blue states thing stateside, but judging by the coverage I caught of the Montenegrin referendum, the "Yes" camp was associated with the colour red and the "No" camp with blue. Might flipping the colours make the map better? The Tom 22:44, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Heraldry

Hi Neil, I was wanting to include Heraldry in Version 0.5, but unfortunately there is no formal references section. I posted a request here but no one has responded. If you were involved in writing some of the article, could you possibly rectify this? I can't believe that none of that enormous "further reading" list was used as source material! Thanks, Walkerma 02:42, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dude!

You're page is a complete mess! Sort it out. When do u start uni again btw? --- Richard CHSTalk

Yeah I may or may not have been under the influence... Not too bad here, not a lot going on though - still seeing chimp occasionally! How about you? --- Richard CHSTalk 23:11, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Planet Definition

You might find this website of interest in that it breaks down the types of planets.
Please note it is not authoritative as of yet, but it is rather concise. Planetary Classification List v6

[edit] Sark

Thanks for catching my poor disambig at Sark (planet); I didn't know that the page of Sark (disambiguation) even existed!

[edit] Yoghurt

I want to start out by saying I'm really sorry that this happened - I did my best to stop it (since the discussion has happened so many times), but sadly I have been overruled by 4 people who are obsessed with name changing (regardless of whether or not I agree with them). There is a new debate on the Yoghurt talk page about the move - I just felt it would be best if most people who had voted in the past knew about this.danielfolsom 00:07, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your Note on Downloading Trek Fan Films Outside U.S.

Hi, was curious about this. Are you saying that people can only download these things if they live in America? That seems odd. They're available from the creator's website and mirrors for download, plus they're all on YouTube. Surely there is not something that stops people who own PCs in other countries from downloading and viewing them. . . is there? Signed, confused Sir Rhosis 19:44, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Actually I meant to say that one can only download from the iTunes store (and probably the XBox thing too) in the US. --Neo 19:47, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
No, I think the ITunes thing is only for the downloading of the official TOS Remastered eps. Anybody, anywhere, with the right media program can download the fan films from the fan film creators' sites or from places like YouTube. Sir Rhosis 19:53, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
