NCAA Hall of Champions
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
NCAA Hall of Champions is a museum, exhibition center, and conference center located adjacent to the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis's White River State Park. The building was designed by architect Michael Graves.
[edit] Fire
In December 2007, an electrical fire struck the building, concentrated largely in the "One Shining Moment" portion of the display and areas immediately surrounding it. The Hall was closed at that time and remains closed temporarily.
The official site (see below) promises a reopening in stages sometime in 2008.
At least one event that was scheduled for the conference center was moved to the Indiana State Museum in downtown Indianapolis. However, the center has since reopened.
