The National Theatre of Iceland, or Þjóðleikhúsið (pronounced [ˈθjou̯ːðlɛi̯kˌhuːsɪð]) in Icelandic, is the national theatre of Iceland, located in Reykjavík.
The theater, designed by Guðjón Samúelsson, was formally opened on April 20, 1950. Tinna Gunnlaugsdóttir has been Artistic Director of the theater since 2005.
