Nathan Good

Nathan Good (b. 1975) is the first and former drummer of Death Cab for Cutie. He performed all percussion for their album Something About Airplanes. On the album We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes, he performed on "The Employment Pages" and "Company Calls Epilogue", but left during the recording of the album to get married.
He is now the drummer for The Vernacular, a band featuring Chris Walla of Death Cab for Cutie and Sean Nelson of Harvey Danger.[citation needed] He currently teaches English at Pinole Valley High School while he writes poetry.[citation needed]

Began as a young drummer playing in his parents basement. Like all drummers his drumming would annoy his parents while they watched tv upstairs. Skipping a few years, he became acquainted with Chris Walla of Death Cab and decided to make a band. They began playing shows in the smaller metropolitan area of Seattle. When he quit he had no idea that the band would gain such popularity but still he does not regret the decision of leaving to get married.
