The Nara Line (奈良線, Nara-sen^?) is one of commuter rail lines and services in Osaka-Kobe-Kyoto Metropolitan Area, operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West). It connects Kyoto Station in the city of Kyoto to Kizu Station in Kizugawa, Kyoto, with service continuing to Nara Station in the city of Nara via the Kansai Main Line (Yamatoji Line). In contrast to the Keihan Main Line and the Kintetsu Kyoto Line, which largely parallel its route, the Nara Line was not electrified until 1984. However, since the establishment of JR West in 1987, the Nara Line has been incorporated into the Urban Network; parts have been double-tracked, and many trains and services, including Miyako-ji Rapid Service, have been added. The line now serves tourists visiting places like Byodoin in Uji and commuting workers and students from places like Joyo in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture.

Passengers can use the J-Through card, ICOCA, and the JR East Suica at all stations on the Nara Line. However, at Momoyama Station and Shinden Station, the cards cannot be used during the early morning or late night hours.
