A presidential election was held in Namibia on 15 and 16 November 2004. It was won by Hifikepunye Pohamba of SWAPO with about 76% of the vote. SWAPO also won the simultaneous parliamentary election.
Following his victory, Pohamba was sworn in as President on March 21, 2005 at a stadium in Windhoek.[1]
